This article features co-founders Fiona Li and Miss Tam’s journey to starting up Wonderkin. With investment from Carmelton Enterprise Ltd., the mother-daughter duo took a year and a half to successfully research and develop smart diapers for the elderly in nursing homes. The new products and systems have been testing out in some local elderly homes. With the specially designed sensor, hub and sensing lines in the smart diapers, caregivers could receive notification and data on the diaper usage and wetness level through the system via Bluetooth. In this way, the Smart-diapers would improve elderlies quality of life and reduce the burden and workload for caregivers.
